We are looking for:

• A Mine Production Superintendent focused on the development, implementation, and execution of the mine’s strategic plan for safe, efficient and cost effective operations.

We count on you for:

• Oversees the operation of mechanical mining systems including bore miners and longwall operations, while providing support to solution mining, utility functions (conveyances, ventilation and support), tailings disposal and material distribution.
• Accountable for the performance of the Mine Operations Department, which is determined by the results of performance in safety, productivity, cost, quality, and moral of hourly employees and supervisors.
• Plan, staff, prioritize and allocate resources within general operating budget.
• Work with mine staff to develop and implement one, five and ten-year mine plans to establish capital requirements.
• Interpret and enforce compliance with internal standards, policies, and procedures and external (state/federal) regulations. Requires educating and training employees.
• Conduct and review performance appraisals that impact personal growth, development, salary increases and bonuses.
• Work with peers (surface/underground) to coordinate business strategies and approaches that provide Solvay Chemicals the greatest potential for achieving the desired results.
• Work closely with superiors, peers, and subordinates to determine courses of action that best represent fair and equitable treatment of employees that is in balance with business issues.

You will bring:

• 10 years of underground mining experience
• 5 years of combined line supervision and management experience
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the safety requirements in an underground mining operation
• Record of increasing levels of responsibility in a mining environment
• BS Degree in Mining Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred

You will get:

• The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $145,000 to $162,000. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
