Job description
Accountable for basic clerical and technical supportive services within a defined scope of practice under the direction of a licensed physician or surgeon. The multi-skilled employee who partners with providers and clinic staff to provide ongoing support services to maximize efficiency while ensuring optimal patient/family experience. Welcomes/rooms patient and family in a timely efficient manner and collects patient information and vital signs specific to the practice setting (medical history, medication usage, etc). Effectively utilizes Valley Children's Healthcare systems, software and modules effectively to perform job-related functions. Documents all pertinent information in a precise, clear manner. Functions as a patient care team member assisting licensed staff in the performance and provision of safe, service-oriented and efficient patient care.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. Candidate is required to have graduated from a Medical Assistant program or have equivalent experience in a healthcare environment as a Medical Assistant or other patient care role. BLS - Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. MA - Medical Assistant preferred. A minimum six (6) months experience in a health care environment providing direct care preferred. Bilingual skills preferred. Must possess the ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner. Medical terminology skills preferred.
POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period. Day shifts
PAY RANGE: $18.70 - $27.10
