We are currently seeking a full time Medical Assistant in our Maternal Treatment Program located in Richmond, Indiana. The hours for this Medical Assistant position are 8a-5p.

Medical Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Perform clinical duties such as:

• Taking vitals and weight
• Giving injections
• Assist providers
• Pass medications

Perform clerical duties such as:

• answering phone calls,
• greeting clients,
• updating patient information,
• filling out insurance paperwork and prior approvals,
• helping the provider to complete arrangements for referrals, admissions and laboratory referrals.

Screen provider phone calls and assist with problem calls

Give TB tests for employees

Dispose of contaminated supplies

Fax and phoning in of patient medications to pharmacies

Maintain confidentiality and use good judgment within the limits of the CMA guidelines and follow department policies and procedures

We are seeking Medical Assistant candidates with the following qualities:

• Medical Assisting Diploma required-but we welcome new grads!
• Certified Medical Assistant with six months to 1 year experience in a clinical setting preferred.
