Job Description
Under general direction, performs skilled masonry work in the construction, maintenance and repair (e.g. storm sewers, hydrants, valves); cuts, dresses and sets various kinds of brick, stone, concrete, etc. Performs other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed below.
Completion of a high school equivalent education; three (3) years of construction experience in bricklaying/masonry.
An employee will be required to have a valid State of Ohio commercial driver’s license.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
- Employee shall meet all job safety requirements and all applicable PERPP/OSHA safety standards while performing the essential functions of the job.
Licensing/Certification

Description of Job Duty
The duties listed below are intended to depict tasks performed by this classification.
Performs skilled bricklayer, masonry and cement finishing work (e.g. cuts brick, stone, cement, etc.; spreads mortar, lays brick, finishes joints, mixes concrete and mortar, build manholes junction boxes, pours/ finishes concrete slabs, assembles forms for concrete work, etc.); masonry repair work on buildings and other structures; operates cement mixer; estimates amount of cement required and orders; cleans and maintains equipment and tools.
Assists with manual semi-skilled tasks related to the construction, maintenance and repair of sewer/water lines, manholes, hydrants, valves and water/sewer related structures (e.g. transports brick, mortar and other materials to job sites; operates electric hoist, breaks pavement, digs holes, sets up sewer cleaning equipment, repairs and replaces valves, water mains, hydrants, etc.); cleans and maintains equipment and tools.
