Position: FT - Marketing Specialist ($18hr - $24hr).

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the implementation of the Marketing & Communications Strategic Plan for the Department related to objectives, initiatives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Build awareness in order to increase Agency philanthropic revenue
  • Coordinate with print & design vendors to manage VYH brand integrity and consistency, including support in the creation/updating of marketing materials such as Annual Report, Impact Report, Case Statements, brochures, and branded items and merchandise.
  • Work with program staff to ensure brand integrity at all VYH sites, including new locations/offices/sites/vehicles
  • Design, implement, and monitor Agency fundraising and marketing campaigns, including, but not limited to, email/e-newsletter, direct mail, e-appeals, and advertising.
  • Track and analyze data in order to monitor and optimize donor communications campaigns
  • Integrate the VYH Brand Story within all relevant digital media to boost engagement and enhance understanding of the agency's mission.
  • Evaluate, update, and manage Agency's online/digital presence, including Google My Business, GuideStar, Charity Navigator, etc.
  • Manage the Agency's digital presence, including maximization of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Track and analyze data in order to inform strategy, monitor and optimize engagement and reach.
  • Oversee Valley Youth House's external website, including content updates and design
  • Content creation and implementation on VYH social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, & LinkedIn)
  • Track and analyze data in order to inform strategy, monitor and optimize engagement and reach.

Key Functions:

  • Coordinate with Marketing & Communications preferred vendors, such as design, print, photography, or videography companies.
  • Manage and teach the marketing and communications education/training for VYH staff during New Employee Orientation (NEO).
  • Keep abreast of news, corporate news, development and marketing trends, corporate giving practices and issues, as well as news/media and hot topics related to positive youth development and social services.
  • Support Development & Marketing Department:
    • o Assist with the function, welfare, and promotion of the Development, Grants & Marketing Department. Support marketing needs of Agency special events.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and regularly scheduled supervision with the Associate Director of Development & Marketing.
  • Complete other related tasks as appropriate or assigned. Assist Department staff as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires maturity, creativity, excellent skills in organization, motivation, use of computers and technology, independence of judgment, and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • The individual will be flexible in their approaches to people and projects and be highly adept at managing multiple tasks and assignments across cross-functional teams.
  • A bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of marketing and/or graphic design, photography, or videography experience is preferred.
  • The individual must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be willing to travel when necessary.
  • The candidate must be an individual who has never been convicted of any child abuse offenses.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing: Occasionally
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds: Occasionally
  • Moving from one worksite to another: Occasionally
