Overview
The Big Picture:
Mortenson is seeking a detail-oriented, creative individual with a positive attitude to join our marketing and business development team as Marketing Coordinator.
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the management and creation of proposals and presentations that differentiate Mortenson, as well as partnering with team members to research, create, and distribute marketing messaging. Additional responsibilities include internal and external communications such as award nominations, articles, press releases, newsletters, storytelling, and special events. We’re looking for a strong writer with the ability to collaborate with a variety of team members at all levels in a fun, ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
- Produce high quality proposal and presentation content that differentiates Mortenson and demonstrates how we solve problems for our customer
- Lead the proposal development process, including gathering, verifying, writing, and formatting proposal information
- Prepare project, company, and team member award submissions
- Write, design, and assemble marketing collateral supporting business development, including presentations, brochures, articles, and special event materials, and electronic mailings
- Coordinate project and team member photography
- Support internal events through graphic design, content development, and planning
- Design and coordinate internal communications
- Develop and maintain content for website and social media
- Maintain Salesforce database content and organize internal filing systems
Qualifications
How will you succeed?
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to be flexible within a deadline-driven environment
- Creative with an eye for detail and graphic design
- Adaptive, effective communication and interpersonal skills with those of diverse organizational levels and backgrounds
- Attention to detail and high standard of quality
- Exceptional business writing and editing skills
- Understanding of concise messaging and storytelling
- Excellent interpersonal skills and works well in collaborative environments
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM database management systems is preferred
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, graphic design, or communications.
- Experience in the construction, engineering, or architectural industry is preferred.
- Proposal creation experience preferred
