We currently have an opening for a part time or full time captain out of East Boston/Boston Harbor. Must be able to work weekends and cover some nights. Must be dedicated to the job and servicing our members. This position primarily provides on water assistance to Sea Tow members and customers by providing assistance towing, fuel delivery, jump starts, ungrounding as well as salvage services.

Winthrop Towing & Salvage, Inc. d/b/a Sea Tow Boston is seeking a licensed captain to provide marine assistance to boaters. The candidate must possess superior boat handling skills, excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn the policies and operational procedures required of all Sea Tow employees. Qualifications/Requirements

• USCG Licensed Captain (OUPV or above) in good standing
• Commercial Assistance Towing endorsement, unless exempt by tonnage
• East Boston, MA and Beverly, MA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Required)
• Driver's License Required
• Must complete a pre-employment drug test as required by the United States Coast Guard.
• Upon hiring, the candidate will be enrolled in random drug testing program as a condition of his or her employment with Sea Tow Boston
• Must pass an in person, pre-employment, operational skills working interview

Certifications

• CPR/First Aid Certification (Required)
• SCUBA Dive Certification (Not Required)
• TWIC Certification (Not Required)
• Radar Observer Certification (Not Required)

Responsibilities

• Primary role is operating marine assistance towboats, but also participate in boat maintenance and other responsibilities related to the business
