Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
Pay Rate $100,000-$120,000/year
Location Nashua, NH

Reports to: North American R&D Manager

Position Summary
The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for setting up electro-mechanical manufacturing cells for the assembly, and test for sensors and instrumentation. This position will troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing processes and products and make modifications and improvements as needed. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will also be involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of manufacturing and assembly processes, products, and devices. This position is located in Nashua, NH and will travel to our various North American manufacturing facilities as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup of cell manufacturing of electro-mechanical assemblies;
  • Develop and document assembly and test procedures for sensors and instruments;
  • Define, develop, and document test fixtures required for manufacturing and maintenance of all equipment;
  • Train manufacturing staff to all written procedures and assist in production builds when required;
  • As necessary, assist manufacturing to accelerate initial build of new products and continue to assist with manufacturing until manufacturing is stable and sustainable;
  • Develop repair procedures for all new products;
  • Assemble electrical and electronic systems according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments;
  • Evaluate engineering mechanical design and assembly proposals to meet the companies DFM objectives;
  • Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies as necessary;
  • Work with functional departments to collect and analyze manufacturing process metrics and identify and
  • implement continuous improvements and resolve problems;
  • Test new and existing manufacturing procedures to eliminate waste and improve quality;
  • Evaluate Quality Control processes and make recommendations for improvements;
  • Support the sourcing and testing of new and/or replacement components as necessary to mitigate any downtime
  • caused by component shortages or end-of-life notices;
  • Perform such other duties as assigned;

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or the equivalent in relevant experience;
  • 7 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering of Electro-Mechanical devices
  • Proven experience creating manufacturing and testing procedures
  • Proven experience setting up a production line, including inventory management
  • 1-3 years of soldering experience
  • Demonstrable experience leading manufactured cost improvements;
  • Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CAD (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and experience with

ERP/MRP systems and project management tools;

  • LEAN or Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred;
