Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated Training and Engagement Manager to join our Band! The Team Member Experience Manager will be responsible for overseeing several key areas of the Team Member experience, including learning and development, culture, and property-wide Team Member events. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing people, experienced in providing training and coaching to managers and employees across a range of businesses, and comfortable delivering programs in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will work closely with teams and individuals to ensure that everyone is engaged, motivated, and developing their skills and abilities. This includes everything from planning and executing training programs to building strong bonds within the team and fostering a dynamic and always-improving culture.
- Deliver and develop impactful in-person and virtual training programs, with a focus on skill-building and leadership development.
- Foster a positive, healthy, and innovative culture throughout the Hard Rock International Enterprise, by building and maintain strong working relationships.
- Passion for continuous improvement while partnering with Guest Experience and assisting in creating best-in-class service excellence programs.
- Innovative thinker to partner with Guest Experience and department leaders to create Team recognition and appreciation programs and events.
- This candidate will project manage event timelines and oversee logistics. While being creative and able to come up with unique ideas to make each event special and memorable.
- The Training and Engagement Manager will have a keen eye for design and be knowledgeable about current Team Member trends.
- Able to handle any situation that arises, ensuring a successful and flawless event.
- Should have the ability to identify, analyze and solve complex problems to create winning solutions.
- The applicant should have a proven track record of developing and delivering training programs that maximize learning outcomes and translation to implement skills at the workplace effectively.
- Coordinating with the L&D team to identify knowledge gaps and devise training plans aligned with performance objectives and business needs.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training activities to ensure learning objectives are achieved and ROI is maximized.
- Proficiency in utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) for managing training records and facilitating online learning is mandatory. Administering learning management systems to ensure smooth online course delivery and management this includes compliance training and voluntary upskill training.
- The ability to design and adapt content to meet departments specific needs and innovate ideas for training methodologies is a key trait required for this role.
- The candidate should be familiar with and understand learning theories and instructional design principles to design effective and comprehensive training programs.
- The candidate should be comfortable managing and adhering to strict schedules and timelines for training and events.
SKILLS:
- A highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic personality with a strong commitment to providing excellent hospitality is required.
- Prior experience in a large, luxury resort is highly preferred.
- A thorough understanding of all aspects of hotel, Food and Beverage, Casino, Event operations, and back-of-house operations, is essential.
- Demonstrated track record in events, Learning and Development, and guest experience within the hospitality sectors or related fields.
- Understanding of Team Member survey methodology and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid reporting skills through Excel, PowerPoint, and or Canva.
- Results-driven approach, excellent prioritization, and time management skills.
- The candidate should be skilled in actively collaborating with others, to influence and drive success.
- Providing leadership and direction that encourages engagement, development, and mentoring of individuals and teams is necessary.
- Maintaining consistently high levels of service is imperative.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, are necessary.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, the ability to delegate responsibility, quickly solve problems, and communicate effectively are highly valued.
- Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, superior problem-solving, and decision-making skills to effectively manage the department.

- Understanding of the gaming & hospitality industry hotels
- Passion for music and knowledge of music trends preferred.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
