About us: We are a fast-growing e-commerce company based in Houston, Texas seeking self-motivated and resourceful team members to help us continue to grow.

We are looking for a Logistics Specialists to manage logistics activities, meet business fulfillment requirements, and support transportation cost reduction. The position is responsible for collecting, coordinating, and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects and services as well as providing logistics support, consulting, and obtaining best possible transportation rates.

Responsibilities

• Setting up drivers for local Houston delivery/Inventory pickups.
• Sorting and create listing for local delivery
• Mapping addresses for local delivery
• Keep in contact with drivers.
• Expanding operations to other territories and cities.
• Handling payments to contact drivers.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Actively participate in team meetings, conference calls, and daily projects.
• Route cargo in accordance with legal and customer requirements.
• Coordinate the cargo routing process with clients, freight forwarders, and customers.
• Issue resolution and shipment responsibility.
• Initiation of Claim against Logistics Service Provider if needed
• Claims Status Tracking and Follow Up for claim reimbursement.
• Invoicing Information for Damage Repair and Coordination with appropriate individual(s) for Cost Recovery/Accounting Information.
• Selecting carrier and tendering cargo in accordance with the process
• Providing carrier, shipper, broker, consignee all pertinent docs and information as required.
• Issue resolution and shipment responsibility.
• Research and subject matter expertise in the field of logistics and transportation.
• Reliably track and expedite progress of specialized shipments
• Capture all costs associated with a shipment including;
• Actively look for an capture savings opportunities and added value opportunities when possible
• Track and resolve freight claims

• Proficient in MS Excel, Google sheets
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Discretion and confidentiality
• Willing to learn (Responsibilities may change at any times)
• Basic knowledge of financial terms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Katy, TX 77449: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Required)
