This opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 6 am – 2:30 pm

This Food Manufacturing Line Production Operator position will be based at our Seattle, WA manufacturing facility and be a part of the Teamsters Local Union #117. We are currently hiring for Day Shift.

What Does It Take to be a Line Production Operator at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

• Able to repeatedly move and lift up to 50+ lbs throughout a regular shift
• Able to lift; fill; push; pull; walk; stand; crouch; reach overhead; and climb stairs
• Able to be on time for your shift on a regular basis
• Read written formulas, instructions, scale read-outs, machine buttons, and safety precautions.

• Read instructions and observe reactions of materials
• Perform basic mathematical calculations
• Read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Be an effective member of a team

What You'll Do as a Line Production Operator

• Keeps a “safety first” mentality
• Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Ensures that specific instructions and processes are followed for each customer or product
• Completes finished goods in an efficient and effective manner to ensure continuous production on lines (typical products are packaged in pouches, pails, bag-in-a-box, totes and super totes)
• Records product information
• Performs regular metal detection
• Utilizes proper stacking and labeling techniques
• Properly sanitizes equipment
• Ensures proper product identification and labeling
• Operates hand-held barcode scanner to record the amount of raw materials used
• Complete necessary paperwork and records
• Monitors the process for desired quality and quantity
• Understands the importance of Food Safety around FSMA and HACCP guidelines
• Demonstrates the “Dawn Values” of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of Excellence.

Work Environment

• Temperature fluctuates with the season – colder during the winter/warmer during the summer
• Working around heavy machinery – Hearing protection required in production area
