Hilton Garden Inn is seeking an experienced and skilled Evening Line Cook to join our F&B team. As an Evening Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high quality meals, ensuring consistent taste and presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and specific guest requests.
  • Ensure all dishes are cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented attractively.
  • Adhere to Hilton Garden Inn's quality and portion control standards to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and cooking techniques to answer both server and guest inquiries accurately.
  • Assist in developing and updating menu items, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
  • Collaborate with the F&B team to ensure smooth operations, efficient service, and timely food delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchen equipment and work areas.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures to ensure food safety and minimize waste.
  • Assist with inventory control and ordering of necessary supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and chemicals.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with team members to foster a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, as needed.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Solid knowledge of culinary techniques, including food preparation, cooking methods, and knife skills.
  • Proficiency in following standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to details and commitment to delivering high quality dishes consistently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations with a calm demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the hotel's scheduling needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS REQUIRED
  • Shifts would be 4PM-11PM
