The Licensing Coordinator processes assignment specific, planned, and fee for service license requests for providers as necessary. Licensing representatives partner with sales teams, providers, and state medical Boards to assist in obtaining state licenses for scheduled CompHealth Locum Tenens assignments or planned requests. It is the responsibility of the Licensing Coordinator to partner with the Licensing Manager to ensure the overall success of the Licensing team and the team’s partnership with the division in order to accomplish divisional goals. Responsible for compiling required documents, researching necessary information and interacting with licensing boards and physicians to obtain medical licenses in states where providers may be placed on assignment.
Responsibilities
  • Determine provider’s eligibility to obtain a specific state license
  • Compile documents, research and verify provider backgrounds
  • Act as liaison between medical board and providers obtaining updates on the status of applications and reporting progress
  • Update status of license applications in Fox database
  • Request and verify documentation and information pertaining to provider credentials and certifications for licensure
  • Prefill license applications with information provided on their resume and other documentation
  • Audit provider applications and resumes, checking for consistency and accuracy
  • Communicate with boards regarding licensure qualifications and specific licensing questions and update state profiles accordingly
  • Interact professionally with state licensing boards, teammates, physicians, representatives and internal sales teams
  • Effectively manage large amounts of information and documentation
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and web-based applications
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced team environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Actively spends time building relationships with each member of your team
  • Make decisions with the best interests of our people in mind
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills focusing on urgent and overlapping deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and proven accuracy with record keeping
  • 2 years work experience in an administrative and/or customer service position
  • Work experience in the healthcare or staffing industries
  • Working knowledge of healthcare terminology
