About the Position

We are looking for a LED/Low Voltage Electrical Technician who is confident and seasoned. They need to be ready to hit the floor running and take on responsibility as required. Only experienced and professional candidates will be considered.

Duties

The LED/Low Voltage Electrical Technician’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to the safe and efficient build of projects as outlined by production staff, adhering to the department’s production schedule. This shop-based work is complemented by on-site installations and strikes as required.

Specific responsibilities are to;

· Maintain a safe work environment

· Achieve electrical best practices through collaboration with design and production teams

· Assist in the ongoing development of documentation as it pertains to electrical work

· Utilize a range of electrical componentry to build custom displays and interior fittings

· Interpret fabrication documentation to meet specifications with safety, durability, and attention to detail

· Test all systems and troubleshoot issues

· Maintain a clean and safe work area

· Maintain and develop inventory of all electrical componentry

. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

· Professional/trade certifications highly regarded

. Expert professional knowledge of and experience in installation/build of low voltage electrical, LED, AV, Arduino systems

· Extensive experience in both workshop and onsite work, ideally in retail display

· Excellent communication skills (bilingual English-Spanish is a plus)

· Excellent organizational skills

· Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines under pressure whilst maintaining safety and best practices

· Ability to problem-solve effectively with confidence

· Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary to deliver projects on time

· Willingness to lead by example, remaining professional at all times

· Some computer literacy required

Compensation

This is a full-time position, paid hourly. A candidate’s rate will be based on experience and skill level.

Hourly rate starting at $30/hr, commensurate with experience
