Purpose

The Irrigation Assistant role assists the Irrigation Technician in maintaining the lawns and irrigation control systems on the Resort at Paws Up property.

The Primary Functions are:

• Assist in the identification and repair of broken irrigation pipes, sprinklers, valves, etc.
• Actively learn and follow how to use and program the different types of irrigation control systems on property.
• Adjust arc and rotation of sprinklers to ensure proper watering coverage.
• Assist in performing routine checks of areas and systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Routinely conduct inventory of all irrigation stock and create lists of shortages for ordering to keep supplies replenished.
• Assist and participate in the planning, mapping and installation of new irrigation systems.
• Maintain a high level of awareness and attention to detail.
• Use safely and respect company tools, vehicles, equipment and report damage or problems to department supervisor.
• Perform hand digging, lifting, and physical work where needed.
• Operate light maintenance equipment authorized by supervisor.
• Clean the maintenance areas daily.
• Operate various mowers, string trimmers, and light maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment daily.
• Complete all Landscaping duties as assigned.

Looking for Team Members with:

• High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
• Previous experience in irrigation installation and repair
• Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
• Valid State Driver’s License with two years driving experience.
