Inventory Analyst Job Description
About the Role: This Inventory Analyst position with United Refrigeration is a full time position operating out of URI’s corporate HQ in North East Philadelphia. This position reports to the Inventory Manager and will work closely with them.
The role is responsible for managing and ensuring accurate inventory levels, inventory reporting, and providing branches and distribution centers with inventory support. This is an analytical position that requires strong attention to detail, strong investigative and analysis skills, and strong computer skills. Moreover, the role is responsible for promoting our mission of providing our branches and customers with the correct inventory when they need it.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and improving the company's inventory situation by ensuring accuracy and analyzing inventory statistics.
- Reviewing and updating inventory levels to support branch locations.
- Work collaboratively with Buyers and Business Unit Leaders to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Evaluate and impact business performance by analyzing past results; performing variance analysis with goals, plan and forecasts; identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
- Contribute to the analysis, negotiation and execution of seasonal buy opportunities
- Support business unit lead on promotions, product roll outs and planograms ensuring on-time and consistent supply
- Run and analyze a number of inventory related reports including open orders, receipts, inventory levels, and fill rates.

Qualifications / Prior Experience:
- B.A. in supply chain management desired –or- 2+ yrs. applicable experience
- HVAC/R wholesale experience a plus
- Experience with SQL is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word etc. required
- Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse management familiarity
