The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for an Instructor to join the Organizational Development team! Under the supervision of the Organizational Development Delivery Manager, the Instructor is responsible for training new and transferring staff on a variety of job responsibilities using designated curriculum. The Instructor will provide training as identified by state requirements and other credentialing entities and has knowledge of effective strategies to implement in a learning environment.

What you will do:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive soft skills training programs that address topics such as effective communication, conflict resolution, and time management to enhance employee performance and productivity.
• Design and implement leadership training initiatives that equip managers and supervisors with the skills and knowledge necessary to motivate, coach, and develop their teams.
• Facilitate team-building activities and exercises that foster collaboration, build trust, and improve team dynamics to enhance organizational performance.
• Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities and work collaboratively with managers and other stakeholders to create customized training plans.
• Partner with subject matter experts and external training providers to develop and deliver high-quality training content that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms such as surveys, focus groups, and metrics analysis, and continuously improve training offerings based on results.

What qualifications you will need:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in social/behavioral sciences or education
• Masters degree in social/behavioral sciences or education preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in staff training or instruction
• At least 2 years of experience working in the behavioral health or intellectual or developmental disability field
• Exceptional interpersonal
• Demonstrated expertise in communication skills, including public speaking, and professional
• High degree of empathy toward individuals with SMI/COPSD/SED/IDD and the staff who work with individuals with SMI/COPSD/SED/IDD
