Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR Employee Relations Specialist to oversee all aspects of employee relations and compliance within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our company adheres to state and local USA laws and regulations, while also owning and looking into the complete I-9 verification processes. The HR Employee Relations Specialist will also be responsible for addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, developing and delivering training programs, and maintaining accurate HR-related records.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with state and local USA laws and regulations, including labor and employment laws, tax laws, and regulations governing benefits, workers' compensation, and workplace safety.
- Owning and looking into the complete I-9 verification process in compliance with federal regulations.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts between employees, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Investigate complaints and mediate disputes, developing policies and procedures to prevent future conflicts.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and managers on company policies and procedures, as well as state and local laws and regulations.
- Work with managers to develop and implement performance management programs, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of all HR-related activities, including employee files, benefits records payroll records and manage and maintain the Employee Handbook.
Requirements:
- MBA or Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR employee relations, compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of state and local USA laws and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Experience with I-9 verification process and federal regulations.
- Experience working with Consulting and Staffing Companies where employees are working at the end client locations in various states.
