Human Resources Representative
Job description
SBM is looking for a field HR Representative! This position administers policies relating to human resources with responsibility for implementation and conformity for assigned divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Works with the HR Generalist and Field Managers to execute programs. Provides feedback on program utilization, strengths, and challenges.
- Assists in developing innovative and cost-effective strategies and processes.
- Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of staff positions and establishes strategic partnerships with managers and department leaders.
- Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Assists employees with concerns or questions
- Confidentially manages sensitive records of the company.
- Proficient in HRIS applications including reporting and data entry.
- Knowledge of company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
- Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues or reports to
- management as needed.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
- Accurately performs data entry of new hires, terminations, and other associated personnel actions.
- Reviews and verifies change requests and documents to determine accuracy and completeness of information, utilizes discretion, and escalates issues as needed to correct or complete data.
- Performs all tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures all data is entered by appropriate deadlines and contain appropriate approvals.
- Assists with onboarding of new hires including but not limited to completing applicant reference checks, submission/processing of background, drug testing, and driver approval paperwork as appropriate.
- Assists with and takes lead on projects, as needed.
- Some travel may be required for this position
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in business, communications, or a related field from a four-year college or university; with 1-3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a REQUIREMENT
Compensation: Starting at $64,000 - $64,480 year
