Job Summary: Consider joining the Pennex family as the Human Resources Generalist at our York location. In this role, you’ll be responsible for partnering with the HR Work Group as well as internal/external customers, and creating a workplace culture where employees are motivated, trained and developed to the best job they can do for the company. This position reports to the HR Manager and assists with the design, development and execution of communications, programs and policies that enable employee potential and are aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Exemplify a service-oriented approach with HR team members, as well as internal and external partners. Ensure all team members are focused on providing exemplary customer service for our internal and external customers.
  • Participate in the establishment of department goals and implement procedures and performance standards to achieve these goals.
  • Provide support to the HR Manager on potential issues and challenges within the organization which need resolution at the executive management level.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the Wellness Programs for the entire company; chair the wellness committee and plan and execute programs throughout the year.
  • Oversee all temporary staffing needs by ordering and terminating temporary employees as well as track changes and monitor their performance, attendance and length of service for hiring purposes.
  • Responsible for coordinating recruitment and hiring processes. This includes opening recruitment, placing ads, screening applications, arranging interviews, coordinating assessments, contacting applicants, maintaining all relevant documentation and correspondence, attend recruitment events and job fairs and other field marketing.
  • Process employment applications and background checks for new employees as well as schedule post offer physicals and drug testing.
  • Schedule and organize company sponsored events.
  • Assist in the communication and administration of employee benefit programs and help coordinate open enrollment processes each year for all benefits (insurance, 401k, etc.).
  • Other projects as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • EducationRequired: Bachelor’s’ degree or equivalent from a four-year college.
  • ExperienceSix or more years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Other required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent communication skills, especially listening.

Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
Must be organized and possess sound time management skills.
Reliability with following up and following through.
Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
Operates with a substantive level of independent decision-making.
Advanced MS Excel skills are required.
Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
Project management and change management skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Stay current on key federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
