The Human Resources Coordinator contributes to the smooth and employee-focused work of the People Operations team focused on time, labor, absence management, benefits, payroll and keeping employee information up to date in the HRIS tool (Oracle HCM). This role provides direct customer service and operational support to ensure prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to all customers.

This is considered a full-time, hourly, benefits eligible position. The hiring range for the position is $19.23 - $24.10 per hour. This is a fully onsite position at our Marblework location in Middlebury VT.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with HR team to support hiring process. Gathers new hire data, accurately create Oracle employee records and monitor onboarding process, including completion and tracking of work authorization documents.
  • Runs published audit reports, review for data anomalies, correct source data as needed and resolve integration errors.
  • Enters record updates associated with routine business processes such as salary changes, assignment updates, and creation of new jobs or positions.
  • Supports a robust infrastructure to support enterprise-wide talent acquisition (recruitment, selection, requisition process, assessments, reference/background checks, POPEs, etc.), and employee life-cycle (on-boarding, off-boarding, employee engagement, leadership development and succession planning, employee development and training, etc.) functions.
  • Manages operational aspects of leave management, timekeeping, buy-outs/severance programs, dependent tuition, professional development fund and other organization-wide programs and initiatives.
  • Provides support for end users utilizing the Oracle HCM system as well as manager self-service. Assists customers with routine end user questions related to personal information and initiate business processes within Oracle.
  • Serves as point of first contact for the department, responding to phone, email and in-person inquiries from customers. Directs employees as necessary to internal and GMHEC shared services. Manage student employees including hiring, scheduling, training and general supervision.
  • Develops expertise in specific areas of People Operations function and acts as subject matter expert and main point of contact for a number of areas which could include: tuition assistance, professional development, dependent tuition, training, recruiting/hiring, compliance, website maintenance etc.

Requirements

Position Prerequisites:

  • Associate degree preferably in Human Resources, office management or related field. Interest in gaining experience and exposure to a wide range of people-related functions with Human Resources.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Strong attention to details and ability to manage complex tasks and projects.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, stressful environment and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Able to project a warm, welcoming, and competent image to customers and meet all customers where they are in providing support.
  • Experience working with cloud based human capital management systems such as Oracle or Workday is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, team collaboration and database systems.
  • Solid knowledge of general office procedures, equipment, etc.
  • Passionate about learning and developing new skills within a fast-paced department and eager to take on new challenges.

Physical Demands:

General office environment with long periods of computer work. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a high stress environment and be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
