Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The HR Specialist will focus on sourcing, recruiting, pre-screening/interviewing, new hire onboarding, training and supporting organizational initiatives focused on employee retention and workforce development.

Job Duties

  • Performs sourcing and recruiting activities which includes: developing job postings, conducting salary searches, performing candidate searches, conducting phone screens, coordinating and conducting interviews, facilitating the selection of candidates, and post-interview follow- up
  • Completes “job posting management” including the “rejection” of candidates not meeting job requirements on all job board sites with active company postings; works within recruitment budget for sponsored positions
  • Ensures all background and pre-employment checks are completed including: completion of fingerprinting, reference checks, employment verification, data base checks per company policy
  • Completes the credentialing process for licensed staff
  • Completes Medicaid/Medicare enrollments, facilitates employees obtaining a National Provider ID (NPI) as needed, and insurance panel enrollment (via roster)
  • Ensures the completion of all performance evaluations by administrative staff (90-day, annual review, Staff Development Plan) and annual acknowledgments
  • Sends offer letters, welcome emails, and ensures that all onboarding paperwork is complete in the electronic HR system per company policy; completes onboarding training for all new hires
  • Investigates recruitment opportunities and selects venues for company visibility and workforce development
  • Maintains communication with candidates and new hires to ensure a positive candidate experience and tracks responses via the applicant tracking system
  • Supports organizational initiatives directed at workforce engagement, retention and development; participation in all workforce development meetings
  • Engages in weekly Administrative “teams” meetings to report/update administrative staff regarding candidate/new hire status
  • Works with administrative staff to support positive employee relations, team effectiveness and employee retention.
  • Promotes and reinforces a positive work culture
  • Assists in the development/implementation of new HR policy/practices and modification of existing policies as needed
  • Conducts exit interviews with employees
  • Completes monthly HR reporting as identified by the CEO

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred
  • Have an acceptable background check, driving record, valid driver’s license
