Innophos is seeking an HR Generalist to join the HR team in the company s Nashville, Tennessee manufacturing facility. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist will provide support to the Nashville manufacturing facility and the two Chicago manufacturing facilities. This position will include both tactical activities specific to record keeping and assisting employees, as well as providing guidance to supervisors.

The HR Generalist is the front-line HR contact for all plant employees and will work very closely with the HR Manager in delivering business objectives. The HR Generalist will work independently, knowing when to escalate matters, and is expected to develop effective relationships with the business partners, (e.g., site management, payroll, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition. and the labor unions).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting efforts to fill open positions.
• Provide guidance on employee relations issues, escalating to HR Manager when appropriate, including support with investigations and resolutions.
• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to supervisors (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policy and labor contract.
• Provide administrative support to Human Resources functions as needed (e.g., generate correspondence, record keeping, filing, scheduling meetings)
• Schedule and deliver new employee orientation and onboarding activities. Manage off-boarding activities.
• Maintain knowledge of company benefits programs and provide guidance to employees. Assist with coordinating benefits meetings and events.
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of HRIS and timekeeping system, and provide basic guidance on payroll questions.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor s degree in HR or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of HR generalist experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Experience working with a labor union preferred
• SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including, recruiting, employee relations, and federal and state employment laws
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality working with highly sensitive information
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated proficiency analyzing data
• Proficient in MS Office and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) systems (e.g. Arcoro, BirdDog, UKG, Kronos))
