Clemson University invites applications for a Consultant in the Office of Human Resources (OHR). This position is responsible to advises University and HR management on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities for 2 to 4 assigned University colleges and/or divisions. Serves as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues and specializes in recommending solutions to optimize an organization's human resource operations.

What can you expect from working as a Consultant in the Office of Human Resources?
  • Data Analytics: Researches and recommends relevant HR metrics to determine the efficiency and impact of the workforce. Compiles and analyzes data and statistics for trends regarding recruitment practices, engagement, performance, turnover, and compliance with employment laws. Develops and presents reports on findings to senior management and collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) and Senior Strategic Consultants to design programs to create an exceptional employee experience.
  • Strategic Workforce Initiatives: In collaboration with the Office of Institutional Excellence (IE) and HR COEs, consults with leaders across the University concerning workforce plans and strategies. As part of prioritized institutional excellence programs, collaborates with or creates a working team, offers guidance on workforce planning initiatives by providing current state relevant HR data, assessing the impact, providing solutions to optimize opportunities and mitigate risks, and recommending hierarchy/structural changes based on best practices. Provides information and guidance to strategic unit workforce planning in partnership with the HR Excellence lead to ensure alignment of workforce plans to organizational and institutional strategic priorities consistent with the Institutional Excellence framework.
  • HR Systems and Policies: Partners with the HR Excellence lead and HR COEs to contribute to system decision-making, scoping, and arranging HR system projects in support of the overall HR strategy. Supports the Strategic Consultants in reviewing/auditing job functions and career paths and may participate in career progressions discussions.
  • HR Partnerships: In partnership with HR functional leaders, support active engagement of cross functional discussions between HR functions to provide aligned, cohesive, and consistent services and solutions. Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to view and track HR related metrics and analytics, identifying trends and making recommendations for business unit specific HR objectives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree
Work Exp 1+ years

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


Education - 1st Master's Degree - Human Resources or Business
Certfications - SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SCP), MBTI or DISC certification
Work Exp 3+ years
