The County of Washington Human Services Department is seeking applicants for the position of Housing/Homeless Services Coordinator. The starting annual salary for the position is $45,632.17 with a generous benefits package, including family health insurance, retirement contribution and wellness benefits/activities for both employees and their families.

The position is responsible to provide information and assistance to homeless and near-homeless individuals and families in directly addressing their needs for intervention services and to work directly with identified service providers to assure access of services to the target population.

The incumbent normally works in an office environment but extensive travel within the County and occasional travel beyond the County is required, therefore, the incumbent must have a means of transportation and a valid state driver’s license and insurance readily available.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, gerontology, criminal justice or related field. In addition, the position requires two years of experience in public or private social work that includes one year of homeless/near homeless related work experience. Computer, analytical and strong interpersonal skills are also necessary.
