Duties and Responsibilities:
- All security officers will perform checkpoint screening functions such as: Using the Walk Through or Hand Held Metal Detectors, using X-Ray scanners.
- Must challenge all MDAD Badge holders
- Issue temporary parking permits
- Examine credentials and verify information of those entering through Catering checkpoint.
- Patrol exterior and interior of the Hangar Building
- Patrol American Airlines aircraft's under maintenance in technical operations area.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have high school degree or equivalent
- Must have Security D License issued by the State of Florida
- Must have a valid Florida Drivers License
Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:
- All security officers must pass the American Airlines MIA Aircraft Maintenance Checkpoint Screener Training.
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in English. Bilingual a plus.
- Should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build a strong rapport with peers and colleagues.
- Must be able to comply with company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
- The ability to work and communicate with all levels of the Operations and management.
- Should possess a work style and conduct that is approachable and hospitable, while motivated to achieve results.
- Must have reliable form of transportation.
- Must have a flexible schedule.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
