Job description
We are looking for a highly organized and disciplined General Manager to manage our FOH and BOH teams. The General Manager's responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day operations, assigning, and assuring completion of weekly team performance goals, ensuring customers’ needs are being met, assisting back-of-house and front-of-house teams as needed, and accomplishing all duties while adhering to all safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion
- Oversee the preparation of safe, delicious food while maintaining a clean, organized restaurant
- Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
- Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives
- Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved
- Correctly completes closing duties at the end of the day
Qualifications / Skills
- Leadership-oriented, or passion for leadership and team development
- Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong decision-making capabilities, and above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable
- Business knowledge recommended (P&L management, food safety, sales-forecasting, staffing)
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree recommended but not required
- Hospitality-related kitchen or front-of-the-house experience recommended but not required
- Efficient at planning and multi-tasking
- Good verbal communication
