Harris Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric is seeking a General Manager. The general manager is responsible for providing overall leadership to all departments and employees at Harris.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day operations of HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical sales, service and installation departments.
- Provide inspired leadership for all departments.
- Foster a culture of safety and integrity, teamwork, passion for selling, resilience, customer service, growth, top performance, high and initiative.
- Recognize and celebrate achievements. Share these achievements with the team.
- “Own” the results for the team. Hold the entire team accountable for performance standards and expectations through constructive feedback, coaching, counseling, and mentoring.
- Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
- Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
- Implement operational policies and procedures
- Participate in yearly budget planning for assigned branch
- Oversee monthly auditing and reporting of budget numbers for each department.
- Monitor, maintain and control inventory levels
- Meet gross margin targets; drive growth across the entire portfolio.
- Achieve objectives set forth in the business plan and operate within budget.
- Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
- Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
- Support employee communication with the management team.
- Lead with clarity. Develop sales plan to meet growth targets. Establish sales team objectives, forecast and expense budget plan to support strategies and goals.
- Be constantly aware of current market pricing and adjust branch price books and software accordingly.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly penetrate targeted markets with new products released for sale. Report back on competitive activity regarding product price, features and quality issues
- Ensure the sales team actively utilizes CRM for contact information, sales activity, opportunities, and pipeline management.
- Ensure weekly meetings are being held in each department.
- Identify High-Potential team members. Challenge, develop and prepare them as succession candidates for higher level roles.
- Participate in annual reviews with the team.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Requirements:
- Successful experience in HVAC management, operations, sales and leadership.
- Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management.
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Solid understanding of financial management.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
