Intertek is looking for a Full Time Expeditor for join the Technical Inspection Services team for a project based in Houston, TX.

The Full Time Expeditor will e nsure that all assignment instructions received for Expediting assignments are performed competently and at the times required. T his role will promote quality awareness throughout the organization, emphasizing excellence, continuous improvement, and corrective action to influence the overall success of company business. Responsibilities:

• Review the assignment instruction for adequacy and practicality
• Attend all pre-production and others meetings as required
• Liaise with clients, and others as relevant, in the determination of expediting stages and requirements
• Visit manufacturers, suppliers, and installers and others as necessary to expedite the orders placed
• Ensure all Expediting and related activities in which involved, are performed in accordance with requirements as defined in Intertek work instructions and procedures
• Frequency of Shop Expediting contact shall be weekly
• Review un-priced copies of major sub-orders
• Review the procurement schedule of major equipment across Phase and Phase II E-houses
• Review Powell schedules and confirm CFE/OFE need dates
• Assist with documentation reviews and on-time submittals and returns
• Assist with visibility to OFE/CFE material shipping to Powell’s facilities, where needed
• Perform exit calls with weekly flash reports to be emailed to the appropriate parties

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years in expediting and procurement activities in a manufacturing environment or appropriate similar background
• High School Diploma or GED. Trade School, On-The-Job Training or University Diploma is required
• Valid Industry Certification preferred – EMA (Expediting Management Association) Basic, Advanced
