Holiday Inn By The Bay- Portland, Maine

Founded in 1982, Lafayette hotels is a family owned and operated company. Our portfolio includes 23 hotels in Maine and 3 hotels in New Hampshire. The location of the Holiday Inn By The Bay in the historic downtown waterfront area and the trendy West End of Portland combines an extraordinary blend of the past and present. We have a restaurant, lounge, pool, business center, and fitness room onsite. Our goal is to be the best conference service hotel in New England. Come join our team!

SUMMARY

We are seeking a service-oriented, energetic, self-motivated and confident person who can complete tasks to ensure a positive guest experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED; Able to multi task and excel under pressure; Hospitality experience

CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work together with servers and the kitchen staff to ensure the restaurant is operated efficiently.
  • Delivers all food items in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Assists server as necessary with pre-bus and pre-set standards.
  • Communicates with kitchen staff on check accuracy on all items being delivered.
  • Must have the ability to provide good customer service with a pleasant dining experience and quality service.
  • Must always be neat in appearance.
  • Worked in coordination with other departments to ensure that customers get quality service and satisfaction.
  • Be a part of the dining experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of serving customers’ needs and understanding of serving food to customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and walk for hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift 10-50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
