Job description
Essential Job Functions
- Engage with all guests in a friendly and sincere manner
- Accurately ring orders and handle payment in POS
- Set up stations according to Taste of Belgium guidelines
- Ensure all food and beverages are consistent and recipes are followed
- Demonstrate all food safety and sanitation guidelines including proper hygiene
- Maintain clean workstation during entire shift
- Properly store, wrap, label, date and rotate products
- Assist in the cleaning and deep cleaning of the kitchen area including equipment, coolers and freezers
- Restock pastry cases throughout and after shift
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Additional Responsibilities
- Adhere to all Bistro policies and procedures including the Grooming and Uniform guidelines
- Proficiency in the use of all station equipment
- Clean all equipment, tools, supplies and maintain in good working condition
- Attend all staff meetings
- Follow posted shift schedules
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
- Barista and food handling
- Guest interaction
- Cash handling
- Ability to stand for long periods of time with periods of moving quickly, bending, lifting and twisting
- Must be able to understand and follow recipe guidelines
- Commitment to quality service, including food safety and sanitation
- Food and beverage handling knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Team player with excellent organizational and time management skills
Conditions
- Must be able to lift & carry up to 30 lbs.
