Job description

Carry On Trucking, Inc., a FedEx Independent Contractor, is looking for full-time or part-time delivery drivers. Drivers are responsible for package pick-up and delivery at homes and businesses. Drivers must operate the route efficiently to ensure that the scheduled pick-ups and deliveries for the day are completed in a timely manner. Drivers must maintain working relationships with the customers on their route. Drivers must adhere to safety standards while driving and loading/unloading trucks.

Drivers are required to perform a pre-trip inspection of their trucks before departure. The driver will execute the route and will perform a post-trip inspection of their truck upon return to the terminal. Modern in-house route mapping technology is provided to assist with navigation and route plotting.

HOURS

Job hours may vary based on routes and driver availability. Routes may vary from day to day. Part-time and full-time availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Work authorization (Required)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Day Shift (Required)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• Drivers are paid on a daily basis
• Performance-based monthly safety incentive bonuses (full-time only)

SKILLS:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of basic truck maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to drive
• Must possess a valid Class D Driver's License
• Drivers may be required to lift up to 150 lbs
• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a drug screening
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Exam

Salary: $150 per day, with availability for a weekly attendance bonus for full-time drivers
