The Department of Neurology at the University of Florida is recruiting for a qualified and enthusiastic UF federal work study student to assist with coordination of multiple research projects related to Movement Disorders and Neuromuscular diseases such as ALS or Multiple Sclerosis.

Training will be provided! We’re looking for UF students who are passionate about learning about clinical trials, enjoy working with data, are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and have strong interpersonal skills. You will have the opportunity to assist with collection of data and data entry, creation and coordination of research materials, project planning, and recruiting of study participants. You will actively communicate with faculty, staff, and research subjects. You will work alongside a stellar clinical trials coordination team!

We are based at the Fixel Campus off of Williston Road. You will need to be available to work at the Fixel Campus for 10 - 15 hours per week.

Duties in this role will include:

  • Chart review & data capture: You will assist our study coordinators with data entry.
  • Laboratory support: You will coordinate research sample collection, processing, storing, and shipment.
  • Compliance: You will help prepare preparing adverse event tables and deviation reports, submitting documents within appropriate timelines, assist with regulatory documentation in study binders, prepare study materials and assessments for patients, assemble study kits, and more!

Expected Salary:

$13.00 per hour



Minimum Requirements:
  • University of Florida degree-seeking study registered at least half-time who are eligible to work on campus and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average
  • Federal work study eligibility during employment

Preferred Qualifications:

We are looking for students who:

  • Have proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability and desire to work with a broad range of people including faculty, staff, and research subjects.
  • Are a highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to be effective independently, interact professionally, and utilize effective writing and organizational skills;
