Summary:

As a custom manufacturing enterprise, it is vital that Pro-Form Laboratories demonstrate the ability to care for the environment in which we produce our customer’s products. The Facilities Technician is charged with maintaining a sanitary, functional, and safe working environment that meets our quality standards and customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

1. Maintain the functionality and availability of resources within our facility

Familiarity with and/or desire to learn about operational paradigms such as 5S, and how to effectively and safely use basic hand tools. Ensure the following shared spaces are safe, clean, orderly, well stocked, and in good working condition:

· Locker Rooms

· Break Room

· Restrooms

· Production Work Spaces

· General Warehouse and Building Integrity

2. Manage the byproducts of our production process

Ensure the timely processing and removal of production outputs to maintain acceptable levels of these byproducts in designated spaces. Maintain awareness of both the current output from production, and also the need to contact our various third party waste removal partners.

· Refuse

· Recycling & Cardboard

· Oil totes, containers

· Farm Waste, dust collection outputs

· Used Pallets

· Towels, Laundered Items

3. Maintaining our Quality Standards

The facilities associate role is integral to our achieving a food safe environment. Requirements include:

· Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)- Adhere to our GMP standards, wear required PPE, and leading through example, encourage coworkers to do the same.

· Sanitation-Learn and follow all sanitation requirements while cleaning.

· Proper Chemical Usage- Learn which chemicals are used in different scenarios and the sequence they are to be applied. Maintain an awareness of chemicals approved for use, and bring any unapproved chemicals to the attention of management. Understand labeling requirements and assist with maintaining chemical inventory levels.

· Quality paperwork, forms- Achieve an understanding all relevant SOPs, WDIs, and Forms. Consistently complete facility sanitation sign-off forms as required.

Knowledge/Skills:

· Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and equipment; general knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP’s).

· Consistently good attendance and punctuality.

• Well organized and pay close attention to detail.
• Forklift Certified or ability to become forklift certified.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively within a culturally diverse environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes.
• Safe and effective use of hand and power tools.

Education/Experience:

· Some experience in janitorial, construction, building maintenance or related trades.

Able to read, comprehend and execute written instructions and documentation forms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
