This position pays up to $61,351.55 Annually/ Pay Grade L/ FEM030.
Manages facilities maintenance team with engineering activities, performing tasks related to the design, renovation, repair and maintenance of facilities or other structures. Oversees and manages the agency’s leased and owned fleet. Assists with project management including gathering requirements and approving specifications for bids for submittal to Procurement/Contracts. Develops strategic and long-term construction plans for the agency. May develop internal procedures, applying sound principles used throughout the building and maintenance trades. Manages subordinate staff. This position requires maintaining 24-hour emergency on call availability. Must have driver’s license, clean driving record and be able to drive fleet vehicles.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of experience in construction and/or maintenance, One year of which as a supervisor/manager OR Associate's/Vocational/Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Six years of experience in maintenance and/or general building construction, One year of which as a supervisor/manager OR High school diploma or GED AND Eight years of experience in maintenance and/or general building construction, One year of which as a supervisor/manager OR Two years of experience at the lower level Construction Spec Spv (FEP053) or position equivalent.
In addition to the minimum requirements, preference will be given to applicants with bachelor's degree in engineering, business or closely related field from an accredited college or university and Five years’ experience in construction and/or maintenance.
