Disguised behind a meat locker door, the no-name speakeasy behind Bodega comes alive at night, serving up Miami’s best tequila and cocktails in an environment that brings the fabric of the community together – artists and musicians, locals and travelers alike – for late night conversation, performances and fun.
As an F&B Manager you will be responsible for the nightly operations of Bodega Taqueria y Tequila while ensuring adherence to company standards. You will need to be visibly present on the floor during service and solicit feedback from guests/customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Circulate on the floor while continually checking with the guests/customers to ensure that everything is to the guests’ satisfaction. Handle guest/customers complaints and thank them upon departure. Monitor and supervise lounge and taco shack to ensure operation is properly functioning.
- Communicate with customers and employees in a positive and clear manner. Listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information. Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy restaurant/lounge activity, serving as a role model for all employees. Interact with all department closely to ensure efficient operations and quality guest service.
- Responsible for assigning and supervising all opening and/or closing side duties. Assist with scheduling as needed.
- Conduct meetings on a daily basis. Participate in ongoing trainings of employees to ensure that employees continue to improve their performance. Recognize outstanding performance and ensure discipline is given for unsatisfactory performance in order to correct the behavior.
- Conduct beverage inventory as needed and calculations of cost of goods, liquor purchasing and filling out necessary requisitions and control distribution of inventory and supplies.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the restaurant:
- Provide direct service to guests as needed, including, but not limited to, serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests and general clerical/cashier duties.
- Additional duties as necessary and assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years' of Food & Beverage, Restaurant and Lounge Management experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
