The Position

Job Summary

Effective Key Operating Indicators of success include but are not limited to:

• Site Geologic Expert

  • Deposit Stratigraphic Identification

  • Deposit Structural Understanding

• Mined Tons Performance

  • Crude Tons Mined

  • Waste Mined

  • Total Material Moved

  • Crude Inventories Balanced and Optimized

• Crude Delivery Systems Development and Maintenance

  • Ore Crushing

  • Overland Conveyors

• Short Term Mine Planning

• Develop mining sequences including crude feed type, potential extraction costs, and mining capital plan

  • Revise annually utilizing available information including any results from exploration activities, feed tons consumed by feed type, and mine production performance

  • Plan supports Life of Mine Plan

  • Utilize and Maintain Mine Model, if required

  • Compile and Maintain Documentation to support Life of Mine Plan or information required by Mine Planning

• Mine Development

  • Quarry Pit Advancement

  • Road Construction

  • Cut Slope and Dump (Tip) Stability

  • Dump (Tip) Location and Design including drainage

• Mining Mobile Equipment Utilization & Performance

  • Equipment Utilization Hours

  • Hauling & Loading Efficiency

  • Equipment Maintenance Cost

  • Cost Effective Fleet Maintenance and Renewal Programs

• Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly Reports of Mine Performance as required by Finance, the Site Manager, Mine Planning, Operations, and Corporate

• Plant Waste Handling and Storage

• Labor Performance & Cost

• Budgetary / Forecast Compliance
