| Your challenges?

  • Electrical System Design: Design and develop electrical systems and subsystems for medical devices, including circuit boards, wiring, power supplies, and control systems. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements.
  • Component Selection and Evaluation: Select appropriate electronic components and equipment based on performance requirements, cost considerations, and manufacturability. Evaluate components for reliability, compatibility, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Circuit Design and Analysis: Develop circuit designs, schematics, and PCB layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) tools. Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and modeling to verify functionality, optimize performance, and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Prototype Development: Build and test electrical prototypes of medical devices, conduct experiments, and perform measurements to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with specifications. Collaborate with the engineering team to refine and improve designs based on test results.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and regulatory experts, to integrate electrical systems into overall device design. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test protocols, and technical reports.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines (e.g., FDA, ISO) throughout the design and development process. Support regulatory submissions by providing technical documentation and participating in audits and reviews.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with electrical systems and propose appropriate mitigation strategies. Conduct risk assessments, including failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), to ensure the safety and reliability of medical devices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering, medical device technologies, and industry trends. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and innovation in medical device development.

| What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing electrical systems and components for medical devices or similar regulated industries.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, such as CAD, PCB design software, circuit simulation, and analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including analog and digital circuit design, signal processing, power electronics, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines, such as FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 60601, ISO 13485.
  • Knowledge of safety considerations, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and electrical safety standards for medical devices.
  • Experience with prototyping, testing, and measurement equipment for electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex electrical systems.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated and quality-driven environment.
