Aon Is Looking For An Operations Analyst

The Operations Analyst will split their time between research projects, producing analytics and reporting, with a focus on alternative products.

These roles fall under Aon’s Early Career Development program, known as Launch. Building on the development colleagues receive in the role they are hired into; the Launch program is a supplemental development program for recent college recruits to mentor and develop future leaders of the firm. This 10-month development program begins every summer and includes in-person sessions, networking opportunities, self-study and global leader calls.

Job Responsibilities:
Collaborating with Manager Research, to support Portfolio Management decisions
Responsible for developing and automating market analytics
Responsible for producing performance and risk analytics
Developing client, marketing, sales reports and commentaries
Support research projects under the COO
Applying data analysis skills and technical expertise to build and test new methods and processes

Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, economics, finance, computer science, math, statistics, or engineering is preferred
Experience with R, Python or another programming language preferred, although not required
0-3 years of experience in a financial services environment
Knowledge of statistics, sourcing and exploring data, fitting/regression methods, etc
Interest in and ability to perform research and test ideas
Interest in investments and some knowledge of derivatives
Good communication skills
Proactive in delivering on client and portfolio projects
Curiosity to learn new methods and applications
Applicants for this role should graduate between December 2022 – June 2023 and have a GPA of 3.0 or above

The salary range for this position is 62,500 - $72,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
