PPSLRSWMO currently has an opening for an
Driver. This is a full-time, benefited position at the Fairview Heights, IL Location. Benefits include, health, dental and vision insurance, employer contribution and match on 403B contributions, 8 weeks paid parental leave, paid holidays, vacation and sick time.

STATUS: Full Time, Illinois
REPORTS TO: Manager of Facilities and Security
SALARY RANGE: $21.65-$23 hourly

POSITION SUMMARY
The Driver is responsible for driving the Mobile Health Center(MHC)a 38-foot, 26,500lb. bus-style vehicle, to pre-arranged sites where staff can provide services. The driver will also be required to maintain the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the MHC. When the MHC is parked at outreach sites, the driver will assist in monitoring safety and security. This position reports to the Manager of Facilities and Security.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Support (80%)
- Drive outreach and medical staff throughout neighborhoods in Southern Illinois, during day and evening shifts.
- Clean and sanitize MHC after each tour in the field, including disposal of toilet, shower and sink waste daily in compliance with infectious disease precautions. Deliver infectious disease waste to the designated Health Center for disposal.
- Maintain a log of Mobile Health Center’s mechanical operation. Communicate any maintenance needs to the Manager of Facilities & Security.
- Assist in the safety and security of the MHC and report any suspicious activity or issues to the appropriate authorities. Assist program staff with any security issues or disorderly conduct on the vehicle.
- Complete all responsibilities according to established protocols, policies and standard practices in the areas of customer service, ADA and regulatory compliance programs such as HIPAA.
- When the mobile medical unit is not in use, carries out assigned tasks in health center, as assigned. Performs other duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to cover evening shifts, occasional weekend shifts.
- Sensitive and responsive to the social and medical problems faced by populations being served.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience driving a same or similar sized vehicle.
- A valid Class B driver’s license with no more than one (1) moving violation in the last 24 months is preferred
- High school diploma or GED certificate required
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires prolonged sitting and repetitive tasks while driving a vehicle and while vehicle is parked. Frequent standing, walking, bending, on uneven ground. Requires lifting or moving of supplies/equipment. Visual acuity sufficient to drive, perform frequent work on an electronic device and review printed reports and other materials. Requires the ability to hear and to communicate orally with others. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as video surveillance, computers, VPN, phones, photocopiers, maintaining electronic files, and medical equipment and will require reaching, grasping, pushing and pulling. Must follow all local, state and federal motor vehicle laws.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a mobile health unit and professional office environment. Potential exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions in a health center environment. Requires frequent travel to various environments, at times in inclement weather.

- Follows current PPFA/PPSLRSWMO medical standards and guidelines, and policies & procedures.
- Protects PPSLRSWMO and its assets from liability.
- Protects confidentiality of PPSLRSWMO clients, staff, volunteers, donors, Board, and all other areas of operation.
- Follows HIPAA privacy and security guidelines.
- Follows all local, state and federal motor vehicle laws.
