Job Summary:

Dispatcher is responsible for the coordination of travel arrangements while providing superior customer service. Dispatcher must effectively utilize resources to maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to our clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assign transportation trips into routing system.
• Keep track of driver’s progress along their routes.
• Assign add-on trips to ensure timely pick up of clients.
• Ensure drivers receive a break.
• Work well under pressure.
• Record accurate details of incidents, accidents, and complaints.
• Input information correctly in the company database.
• Support and provide service via phones, e-mails and faxes as a receiver and caller.
• Monitor and address driver issues (rerouting, assign standby, etc.).
• Answer and respond to inquiries “Where’s My Ride” telephone calls.
• Maintain on time performance.
• Use questioning and listening skills that support effective telephone communication.
• Handle special telephone tasks like call transfers, taking messages, call backs, holds, interruptions, and unintentional disconnects in a professional manner.
• Meet commitments to clients.
• Continually maintain knowledge of client protocols.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal departments as necessary.
• Work on a rotational basis that includes weekends and holiday shifts.
• Perform other duties, as required.

• Ability to read and utilize a map
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Full-Time 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
• Full-Time 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

$19.93 hr
