POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced leader to evolve, build, shape and lead talent acquisition, management, retention, and leadership development across the company. Reporting to the CEO, this role will be a member of our extended leadership team and have considerable connections up through Murray Company’s executive team.
The overall goal is to build organizational capacity and capability by strengthening individual and team skills and competencies, reinforcing a culture of high performance and fostering an environment where employees can grow their careers and do their best work. Four key priorities.

- Develop recruitment and retention plans to support the company’s current and future capacity needs
- Develop and grow a strong management and leadership team
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with senior leadership to understand short and long-term priorities and strategy for the company; ensure our approach to Talent supports the strategy.
- Build, manage and leverage a positive and collaborative partnership with business leaders to understand the talent needs of the business.
- Develop and execute a People team strategy that will meet the overall goals of the organization. Conceptualize and successfully implement programs for sustained business growth while executing on the overarching strategic plans.
- Continuously assess the organization’s Talent, learning and development needs across all levels and teams, working with key stakeholders.
- Recommend, develop, and implement customized learning strategies to meet near and long-term capability/skill requirements.
- Facilitate the proactive development of talent across the organization to improve individual and organizational performance and development.
- Lead all aspects of the training lifecycle, including needs assessments; training consultation; training program design and development; ongoing training program and tools for supervision, communicate and market new training programs; budget and resource management; reporting; and vendor management.
- Build out a management and leadership development curriculum with supporting processes and tools to accelerate development.
- Build and implement a Talent Review process that enables the organization to assess and discuss talent at all levels up through future executive talent for succession planning.
