Smith Chason School of Nursing is dedicated to the success of its students. We are a private postsecondary vocational institute. We have nursing programs at two locations in California: Los Angeles and Ontario. We are searching for our next Director of Nursing for the Vocational Nursing Program in Los Angeles.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:

Possession of a bachelors or master’s degree AND preferred year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrator’s administrative assignment. Candidates who claim the equivalent qualifications must provide conclusive evidence of their qualifications. Must meet all requirements of the BVNPT as program director for a vocational nursing program, which include:

• A bachelors or master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• Two (2) years of experience teaching in a nursing program.

• A current, clear and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California. Four (4) years experience in a clinical setting.

• Analyze and evaluate a nursing and health occupations program.

• Promote collaboration among the college, department, and professional organizations and agencies related to nursing, health care, and community health.
• One (1) year of experience as an administrator with validated performance of administrative responsibilities preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
