Job description
A mid-sized skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in the Inland Empire, seeks an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee management of all nursing services including the licensed nursing staff and the certified nursing assistant team.
The primary goal of the Director of Nursing is to assure that care and services are provided in accordance with current Federal and State regulations and company policies and procedures. The ideal applicant will be a seasoned leader with excellent clinical skills and enjoy “hands-on” leadership and teaching, and understands that foremost, nursing in this setting isn’t just about nursing care; it’s about knowing your residents and meeting their needs.
We prefer applicants with a genuine passion for working with seniors, a positive “can-do” attitude, desire to be part of an awesome team, a born organizer, someone who handles emergencies with aplomb, and a sense of humor.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current California license.
- At least three–five years of current experience as Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Nursing Manager or equivalent supervisory nursing experience are required.
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Comfortable with routine use of computer and experience with electronic medical records systems
- Ability to communicate confidently, clearly, concisely and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing to residents, families, employees and physicians.
