Vitux is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and a privately held company that contract manufactures for many of the major brands in the dietary supplement industry, using our proprietary and patent protected technology called ConCordix®. Vitux has manufacturing sites in Andenes Norway and Windsor ON Canada and a Sales and Marketing office in Boise Idaho.
We are growing our organization and have an exciting opportunity open for a (global) Marketing Director, located in the USA, per immediate.
This Marketing position in Vitux is complex and will require an experienced marketer to impart excellent strategic thinking, strong analytical skills and scientific literacy, superior cross-functional collaboration skills, and will operate both globally and locally, using effective influencing skills. The Global Marketing Director in Vitux is responsible for the strategic planning, development and execution of the organization's business plan and communication. This entails the 3 years business planning and execution in close collaboration with the sales force in the USA and in Europe, and a clear and concise Concordix brand strategy and communication of this.
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Director’s primary responsibility is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful global marketing for the organization, using market research, educational programs, product/technology marketing, marketing communications, customer network and advertising and public relations.
The Marketing Director ensures that the organization's messages are distributed across channels and to targeted audiences (A & B customers) to meet our companies’ sales objectives. For new business development and product/concept development the marketing director will work closely together with the Sales Director Europe and the Sr. VP USA, the CEO. and the department head of R&D.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and drive, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, a clear global business/marketing strategy for ConCordix® across the company and within the industry.
- Support the business’s sales growth targets in a complex, dynamic and competitive market.
- Closely interact with our customers/partners and support their ‘customer journey’ and their translation into the ‘consumer journey’ and ‘consumer experience’.
- Be a contributing leader of the sales and marketing team in the USA and Europe and partner with product development department (R&D) to develop marketing programs to achieve our business goals.
- Connect, maintain and develop contact with Vitux’ external supplier, like digital specialists, ad agency, PR agency and CRM provider.
- Drive collaboration with R&D, Quality and Supply Chain Management to ensure revenue growth.
- Manage the business, based on customer needs, utilizing pertinent metrics to measure business performance and effectiveness of marketing programs.
- Take ownership of (global) conventions and the organization in close collaboration with all relevant departments.
- Create and facilitate internal communication to align all functions and key initiatives for growth.
- Contribute to Corporate Communications initiatives, create a ‘One-Voice’ in communication.
- Manage the Marketing budget
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior Market Development experience in the dietary supplement business and a strong understanding of life sciences.
- Strong track record of driving results with sense of urgency. You have a ‘Win’ mentality and display leadership qualities.
- Excellent analytical skill set.
- Demonstrated ability to define a market strategy. Able to execute against a robust growth strategy, considering various metrics and data inputs.
- 3-5+ years of experience in successfully leading Marketing strategies and/or departments.
- Strong track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborative. Ability to work across a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Relevant Degree in marketing and/or business is strongly preferred.
Additional preferred attributes:
- The candidate will be self-motivated and a driving force in their current or past organizations.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage short term deliverables concurrent with longer-term strategic milestones.
- Executive presence; Strong presentation skills.
- Travel: 30% (Primarily domestic USA and Europe travel).
