Mercy Multiplied exists to provide opportunities for all to experience God’s unconditional love, forgiveness, and life-transforming power. Mercy’s residential counseling program is voluntary, biblically-based, and helps young women ages 13–32 break free from life-controlling issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking. These residential services are offered free-of-charge. In September of 2020, Mercy Multiplied launched its first Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling in Monroe/West Monroe, LA offering free-of-charge outpatient counseling to that community. Our Outreach Services train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, discipleship teaching, and other practical resources.

We have an immediate opening for a Director of Home Operations, at our home located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Schedule:
40 hours/week

To be successful in this role, one must have the following:

  • Must have a high school diploma or pass a general educational development test (GED)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science required
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, crisis management, administrative, and computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
  • Solid Biblical knowledge
  • Ability to make good decisions quickly
  • Sound judgment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have management or supervisory experience
  • Must have a thorough understanding of, and dedication to, the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with demonstrated Christian work ethics

Summary of Responsibilities:
Home Management:

  • Flow and functionality of a 40-bed facility in relation to schedules, outings, events, management of residents’ schedules, including but not limited to resident check-ins, special speakers
  • Home maintenance including transportation, handling vehicle issues, handling licensing inspections (with supervision of PD), handling physical plant issues including noticing and communicating needed repairs and replacements and coordinating work outsourced with approval from PD
  • Overall management of fitness, nutrition, and medical; organizing, managing and developing budget (especially with food, medical and household) and working to undergird the backbone operations of the home
  • Provide on call for the home once a month and as needed
  • Fill in for Program Director when she is out

Supervision:
Supervision of the Program Assistant, Nutrition Manager, Fitness Managers, Household Manager, Education Manager, and Medical Services Manager, Interns, and Volunteers.

  • Conduct staff evaluations
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings weekly or bi-weekly
  • Conduct new hire orientation and training
  • Oversee daily schedule and events for the home (Life Skills, Major Cleaning Days, work details)

Home Finances:

  • Process credit card by verifying for accuracy, coding for payment, attaching receipts and faxing to vendor each month on or before due date
  • Ensure that approval process is followed for all major purchases
  • Review financial reports created by Program Assistant
  • Facilitate Thank You cards/letters from residents to donors

Coordination of Details of Home Events:

  • Luncheons/Dinners
  • Visits/Stays by other homes
  • Conferences/Special Events
  • Sporting Events
  • Volunteers
  • Coordinate/Schedule daily transportation/staffing needs

Home Interns/Volunteers:

  • Review Applications
  • Confer with Program Director
  • Interview Applicants
  • Train/Schedule Interns/Volunteers
  • Provide Supervision for Interns and Volunteers

Resident Needs:

  • Assist as needed to confront issues concerning both residents and personnel
  • Meet with residents as necessary to talk through crisis issues
  • Assist in leading meeting with incoming residents and parents as needed
