Duties: Builds and maintains applications in Terra Dotta for both inbound and outbound programs to ensure that applications/materials are current with updates each application cycle;
Works with CIP staff to ensure that all applications and related policies/procedures are in compliance with applicable academic contracts, sponsor requirements, privacy and security regulations; and all policies and procedures of SUNY New Paltz and the Center for International Programs;
Liaises with Terra Dotta, CIP Units, and New Paltz IT/Computer Services and troubleshoots when technical issues occur to resolve such problems in a timely manner;
Provides support and training to all units in CIP particularly at the time of software updates and other application changes;
Maintains insurance enrollment rosters and procedures for international and study abroad students assuring proper coverage while students are traveling abroad;
Reconciles travel and health insurance rosters and invoices for timely payment;
Participates in user conference and training, both online and at conference sites, to remain abreast of software changes, uses and services;
Works with the Director of Global Learning and other administrators to increase usage and create/maintain essential documentation related to systems and processes;
Manages data interface from TD I-SSS to the SEVIS System of the US Department of Homeland Security and Banner, the New Paltz registration system;
Leads the effort to facilitate seamless cross-system data sharing across multiple databases and platforms to assure data integrity;
Partners with users to design and facilitate creative reporting and dashboard tools for data analysis and provides reports as needed;
Prepares reports for internal and external constituencies including SUNY Office of Global Affairs and the Institute for International Education;
Implements and manages a travel registry for students and faculty abroad;
Sends out emergency check-in requests when there is an emergency abroad;
Reports emergency check-in responses to on campus constituencies and SUNY System Administration;
Prepares Budget Templates for Study Abroad Programs;
Overhauls course articulation and pre-approval database for Study Abroad;
Updates course schedules in Banner and registers Study Abroad and ESL students.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Excellent technical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
Qualifies as a Designated School Official (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
Excellent organization and project management skills
Experience working in a customer service role supporting end users
Ability to work as a team member with various stakeholders
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science or a related field
Professional experience in a university setting
Demonstrated interest in International or intercultural education
Design skills or experience
Knowledge of SEVIS and immigration regulations
Experience with the following applications: Terra Dotta, HTML, Windows SQL server, BrightSpace, Banner, ARGOS
