We are a privately-owned, research and development entity in biotechnology and radiopharmaceutical and is growing rapidly. We are dedicated to the development, production and global supply of targeted diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes for use in cancer treatment. We are developing a proprietary portfolio and growing pipeline of targeted treatments in various stages of clinical development addressing cancers such as neuroendocrine cancers or bone metastases. Our main objectives are to significantly improve treatment outcomes and quality of life for cancer patients through a new generation of Targeted Radionuclide Therapies in Precision Oncology. This is an ideal opportunity for an industry-experienced professional to be a part of this evolving company. This is a key role within the medical group reporting to the Head of US Medical Affairs. The Medical Director role is based in the US, will help ensure medical launch excellence, works cross-functionally to develop and execute the US medical affairs strategy for our pipeline portfolio of assets.

Responsibilities

• Be a Member of the global GMA team providing support for the execution of global strategies with a main focus in the US
• Facilitate scientific engagement across a broad range of stakeholders to strengthen external understanding of the unmet need and medical value of the pipeline portfolio of assets
• In partnership with members of US and GMA, serve as key lead on the development and output execution of the US medical strategic plan
• Provide leadership for MSL activities, building on the relationships with key external experts (KEEs), clinical centers, and healthcare professionals
• Support MSL internal training, as well as external activities such as insight generation and medical education
• Develop and build on professional relationships with KEEs, other healthcare professionals, and patient advocacy groups
• Provide medical leadership in interactions with key external stakeholders, leading scientific engagement activities including advisory boards and congress activities
• Support the development of investigator-sponsored studies that are aligned with the GMA strategy
• Support both Evidence Generation and Publication Planning initiatives by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the key US needs are met strategically and compliantly
• Represent a medical perspective in cross-functional meetings as necessary, focusing on access to medicines through a clear understanding and education of the treatment value
• Collaborate across functions to support Medical Communication activities such as medical information response documents, non-promotional materials, internal and external training, and educational resources

Job Requirements

• MD preferred or alternatively Ph.D., PharmD Clinical specialist training in endocrine oncology/oncology or Nuclear Medicine would be an advantage
• >2 years of Medical Affairs experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
• Leadership experience in driving strategy and execution, in particular with medical field teams
• Solid understanding of medical activities (including, key expert engagement (KEE), scientific communications, medical information, field medical, and HEOR), relating to the commercialization of oncology products
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and interactions (e.g., KEE, patient advocacy groups, payers)
• Familiarity with US regulatory organizations, guidelines, and practices
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, product life-cycle, and commercialization processes
• History of problem-solving while exhibiting sound scientific and medical judgment
• In-depth understanding of the scientific method and clinical applications based on medical, scientific, and practical rationale
• Track record of success working with matrixed cross-functional teams
• Confident in representing the company at public events such as congresses, presenting data, discussing clinical questions, and public speaking
• Ability to travel up to 30%
