Unagi is seeking a Data Analyst! This role will prepare reporting, forecasting, and analysis of the business, with a large opportunity to deliver insights and improve efficiency with automation and process improvements. You have a passion for data and what it tells us about consumer behavior and the performance of our products, and love communicating your insights to a wide audience. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance and support both the finance and marketing teams. The ideal candidate is self-driven and will leverage superb technical, problem-solving, and communications skills to drive analytically sound recommendations to efficiently drive results. What you’ll do

• 
  Monitor and analyze industry, cost analysis, finance and other business-related functions in order to develop new or modified information processing systems and trending reports.

• Responsible for locating and extracting financial, operational and other related data from various systems for purposes of analysis and cognition.

• Perform moderately complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of reports and data, and prepare subsequent narrative analysis for management.

• Review reports for variances / anomalies, investigate as needed, and advise CFO and other executives of any potential errors / misstatements.

• Support the Marketing organization and accelerate growth by defining problems, structuring analyses, synthesizing key takeaways, and providing recommendations

• Bring ideas for new analyses to the table, and own them from data collection to dashboard creation and presentation

• Partner with stakeholders to ensure the right questions are being asked, solicit feedback, and iterate until you reach meaningful conclusions backed by solid analyses

• Identify problems and opportunities through constant data exploration

• Manage data pipelines and attribution tools, including researching and maintaining data to enrich and enhance our capabilities

• Communicate your findings across the organization

• Empower teams to better understand and act on data

What you bring

• 
  High-growth analytics or operations experience

• 2+ years of experience in marketing and performance analytics

• Experience analyzing and manipulating datasets to understand patterns and socialize insights

• Exceptional at telling a story through data and building visualizations and dashboards that can be interpreted by non-technical audiences

• Exceptional Excel/Google Sheets & data management experience

• You’re a reliable self-starter who can handle multiple projects with minimal oversight

• Experience working on a distributed team

• Experience in reporting-based software
