Job description

This is as needed, part-time work performing routine cleaning and related tasks in and around city buildings and facilities. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, on an as needed basis (excluding holidays) from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Occasionally there will be the opportunity to work extra hours earlier in the day from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Salary: $15.45 - $20.55 Hourly

To Qualify

Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:

  • Have verifiable employment of at least six months performing janitorial, custodial, or closely related activities in a commercial environment.
  • Be able to meet a very flexible and varying work schedule requiring the ability to report to work during the listed work hours.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.

Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:

  • Have considerable progressive experience in janitorial or related custodial work.
  • Have considerable knowledge of cleaning materials, methods, equipment, and procedures.
